Tonight I read another Conference talk by Wilford W. Andersen called The Rock of Our Redeemer. The main message of this talk is that no matter what our circumstances may be, we can have hope, peace and joy. Hope comes from faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I learned a new insight from this talk. He refers to the scripture James 2:19 which says that even devils believe. He makes the point that faith is more than just believing. It starts there, but faith without works is dead. Our "faith grows by keeping the commandments." Keeping the commandments should be something that I am always working at, thus growing my faith and creating a hope that will give me strength and peace through whatever comes. It seems to be a message that is speaking out to me clearly: keep the commandments! And I want to. I believe the blessings promised for doing so and I want to do my part to receive those blessings in my life. I love this gospel and I'm so thankful for it in my life.
