We've been traveling in the car all day today and it is difficult to do my study like I'd like to. I'm going to just open up my scriptures and read a few verses. I read D&C 64:32-34. I love love these verses, each one of them. I think verse 33 is especially relevant for me tonight. It says, "Be not weary in well doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great." I believe that and that is part of the reason why I am doing this, opening my scriptures with a pen in hand. It is a small thing, but I believe each time I do it consecutively that the effects and blessings will compound over time and my faith will be greatly strengthened. I think many "great things" will come to pass because of my consistent daily study and I am looking forward to seeing and experiencing the blessings of this in my life. I don't know that I've ever consistently done this every single day for this many days in a row as I have, so I have yet to experience the blessings that come from my simple, consistent efforts. I love the gospel and love my Savior and am so grateful for His example.
