Today I listened to a Conference talk called Generations Linked in Love by Russell M. Nelson. It is about genealogy and I absolutely am passionate about genealogy.

The "scripture" I want to write about tonight is actually the Sacrament hymn we sang in church called Jesus Once of Humble Birth. I also heard it again later on a cd I was listening to. My favorite lines that struck me today were the last two verses: "Once he groaned in blood and tears; now in glory he appears. Once rejected by his own, now their king he shall be known. Once forsaken, left alone, now exalted to a throne. Once all things he meekly bore, but he now will bear no more." What struck me is the fact that just like Christ, the day will come when I too will be freed forever from the sorrow of blood, tears, rejection, and bearing great hardships. I am grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ, that He made it possible to walk back into the presence of our Father and receive eternal glory. I am grateful for the peace, love and joy I feel in my life right now and am so looking forward to experiencing those great emotions for eternity.
