Tonight I read an Ensign article on what we believe from the July Ensign called Sexual Purity Blesses Our Lives. There is a scripture quoted from 1 Corinithians 6:19-20 that says, "Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body, and your spirit, which are God's." This really stood out powerfully to me because I think it is a VERY common belief these days that our bodies and our spirits are OURS and that we can and should do whatever we want with them. This believe leads people to all kinds of sin which they justify completely and do not see as such. This is not the Lord's way. I want to live according to the Lord's way. I want to have on my belief window, governing my actions, the belief that my body and spirit are God's and that the only thing that is mine is my agency to do with them what I will. I want to use my agency to glorify God, especially by keeping the law of chastity.
