I read Alma 34:1-16 where Amulek shares his testimony of the coming of Christ. He knows and has been taught the plan of salvation because he knows that it's necessary there be an atonement made to pay the demands of justice and that atonement cannot be made by a mere man, but the sacrifice must be infinite and eternal. I am impressed at how much understanding there was about Christ and his purpose of coming to earth even before his birth. These teachings are taking place about 74 years before Christ was born. It is a testament to me of the power of knowledge that lies in revelation. I truly can come to know of and understand God's plan and purposes through personal revelation and through listening to the words of the prophets... long before the events actually take place, so that I can teach my children and prepare them to be worthy to receive the blessings that will come to the righteous.
