Tonight I read an article in the July Ensign called What Did the Pioneers Bring by Stephen L. Richards. The things it mentioned the pioneers brought are industry, education, a love for beauty, loyalty, firm devotion to their cause, wisdom, sacred understanding and treatment of the body, character and personality as children of God, wisdom of the family, and brotherhood. I am very grateful for the legacy of the pioneers and all that they have brought. It is a part of who I am today and will continue to be a part of our family as I teach our children of these pioneer qualities found in their own ancestors. I am grateful for the examples of faith my ancestors left.
