Tonight I read a Conference talk by Quentin L. Cook called Let There Be Light. It was a great talk. He spoke of how weekly family home evening and daily family prayer and scripture study are essential protections from evil. We have started doing just those things with our son since General Conference and it has been a lot of fun to see all that he has learned already. I really appreciated the optimistic tone of this talk. I liked that he included all those who are striving to uphold religious moral values as bearers of light even though they may not be members of the LDS church. Because all bearers of light are helping to prepare the world for the Second Coming and I am proud to be a part of that group.
