Tonight I read D&C 99 which is the calling issued to John Murdock of being a missionary. One thing, although not mentioned in the verses, that struck me was the importance of humility in serving the Lord and building up His kingdom. One must realize that it is not the individual with the power... it is only through the individual's diligent obedience that a power is authorized to be used.
