I read
Alma 55, which is more of the account of the war between the Nephites and Lamanites. This chapter tells how the Nephites were able to regain all their prisoners of war, as well as retake the city of Gid. I took notice of verse 31 that says "the Nephites were
not slow to remember the Lord their God in this time of affliction." Apparently they learned their lesson. Unfortunately, I'm sure they will forget again, as goes the Nephite cycle. I sure am looking forward to the time when Zion shall prosper and we as a people of the Lord will
always remember God and not fall into that cycle of pride.
